We couldn’t do what we do without the support of these wonderful people
Pete: The Box in Crewe is quite possibly the hottest and most rammed to the rafters gig I've ever done… But what an atmosphere! I think everyone in attendance walked out a couple of pounds lighter due to the heat… Lovely meeting everyone at the Meet & Greet afterwards.
Planet Rockstock was definitely not as intimate as The Box, the venue is after all a holiday park! But another great atmosphere for sure. Met up with loads of people I haven't seen for years… Harry from Thunder, Bernie (Uriah Heep) and Neil Murray to name but a few. Great reaction from the crowd and I'm hearing lots of talk of us being band of the weekend, that'll do for me!
Thanks to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us for our last shows
of 2013. I'm looking forward to doing more of the same in 2014… are you with me on
that? PJ
Jem: I had a great time at Planet Rockstock. It was good to catch up with Bernie, Phil and Russell from Uriah Heep. I managed to have a word with Adam Wakeman side-stage, while Micky Moody was doing his slide solo when Snakecharmer were on. Really nice guy, great player. Then I got to have a chat with his dad and my hero Rick Wakeman! I have VIP tickets to see his show at the Royal Albert Hall next April. I had been praying the Foreigner tour dates wouldn't clash but it has all worked out okay. Got Rick to sign my 'Bat' - so I'm a very happy keyboard player.
The gig went well, bit of a 'mare getting the gear on and off the stage but everything set-wise went smoothly.
It was great to have Robert Hart up to sing "Can't Get Enough". He is just mad, but in a good way :-)
A great weekend. Crewe was amazing! FM fans rule!
Merry Christmas to all!
Jem
